Welcome to Ferne Animal Sanctuary
Antiques Valuation Day Success
The Ferne Antiques Valuation Day with Lawrences of Crewkerne on 24th June raised a whopping £738.59 for the Sanctuary
Lawrences of Crewkerne sent 4 of their valuation experts to help raise money for Ferne Animal Sanctuary. Miranda Bingham, Alex Butcher and Jeff Day were rushed off their feet with Jewellery, Silver and Militaria items brought in by the public, but poor Simon Jones on the General Items table was nearly overwhelmed by the fantastic response and interest from local people with a wide array of antique items.
The weather was lovely and the cream teas made for a wonderful day out. The raffle was also very popular due to the generous prizes offered by supporters and local businesses, including Bindon Country House Hotel, author Jilly Cooper, Forde Abbey & Gardens, and Otter Garden Centre. Cakes, Plants and Bric-a-Brac were all donated to help raise funds on the day and a significant number of Ferne's volunteers worked hard all day to make the event a special occasion for all who attended.
The staff of Ferne Animal Sanctuary would like to say a big thank you to Lawrences of Crewkerne for donating their time and energy to all the valuations. We would also like to thank everyone who supported the day, through donations, baking and hard work.
Raffle tickets Grey 568, Grey 544, Grey 561, Green 131, Grey 486, Green 125, and Yellow 441 won the prizes. All prizes have been claimed.
The Ferne Family Fun Day was held at Ferne Animal sanctuary on Wednesday from 11am to 4pm and spurred on by the sunshine, drew in impressive crowds.
