You Coming to Ferne

School Visits

Most of our visits are from Pre-schools and Primary Schools, however all age groups can be catered for.

New sessions focusing on animal welfare topics that have strong links to PSHE and Citizenship curricula are now available:

  • Choosing the most suitable pet.
  • Responsibilities of owning a pet.
  • Understanding animal’s welfare needs.

These also have links to a variety of other curriculum subjects.

We also offer active guided tours especially designed for KS1 and below (those with particularly short attentions spans!) – involving plenty of short activities at various locations. These tours can be tweaked to cover a wide variety of topics that you may be covering at school.

Other Group Visits

We also offer active guided tours for community groups, such as Brownies and Beavers and can do tours for adult groups too.

We are always happy to talk through your requirements so please give us a call on 01460 65214 or e-mail education@ferneanimalsanctuary.org for more details.

See the Educational Visit Information page for more details to help with planning a visit.
