Meet Our 2025 Volunteer of the Year Winners
This year, we were delighted to honour Loraine and Judith as our Volunteer of the Year winners. Both have gone above and beyond in supporting our fundraising team, helping to organise events, connect with the local community, and raise vital funds for the sanctuary. Their enthusiasm and commitment embody everything that makes our volunteer network so special.

A celebration to remember
With the kind sponsorship from Dudley Barnes, we were able to mark the occasion in style, celebrating with our winners, fellow volunteers, and, of course, plenty of cake from our on-site café Perdida. Moments like these are so important to us, as they give us the chance to say thank you and give proper recognition to the people who make our work possible.
Why volunteers matter
Quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers. From fundraising and events to animal care and visitor engagement, their support touches every part of the sanctuary. We are incredibly grateful not only to Loraine and Judith, but to every volunteer who gives their time to help animals in need.
