Gifts in Wills

For over 80 years, Ferne Animal Sanctuary has provided a safe haven for animals in need of care, love, and respect. By leaving a gift in your will, you help ensure that we can continue this vital work for years to come, giving animals a second chance at the life they deserve.

Leaving a gift in your will

Ferne Animal Sanctuary has been providing refuge for animals in need for over 80 years, offering them the care and love they deserve. Much of the support our animals receive, including food, veterinary care, and a warm bed, is made possible through generous gifts in Wills.

A gift in your will to Ferne is a lasting legacy of your compassion and commitment to the welfare of our animals. Your generosity will help us continue our vital work and provide a brighter future for animals who have had a difficult start in life. Gifts in Wills are essential to every aspect of our work, so whether big or small, your contribution will make a lasting difference for the animals at Ferne.

"I would like my legacy to go towards animal welfare"

“Ferne is especially close to my heart. I had always worried about what would happen to my pets if I was no longer able to look after them. Then I found Ferne and am happy in the knowledge that they could go there, be well cared for and happy. I, myself, have spent many glorious hours there admiring the facilities, nature gardens, beautiful views and the plethora of animals, not to mention the dedicated staff and volunteers who enable all of this. For a short while I was a volunteer myself. I would like my legacy to go towards animal welfare, of course, but also education and support and training for those who adopt”.

"Ferne is one of the most important charities we support"

“After moving to Devon around 14 years ago, having spent the majority of our working lives in and around London and the south coast, we very soon became acquainted with Ferne Animal Sanctuary and the fantastic work it carries out, and that quickly developed into a more formal relationship as we signed up to become ‘Friends of Ferne’, something we’re very proud to call ourselves. What became apparent to us very early on is that Ferne very much needs and relies upon its legacy income to support its extensive operation across all areas of the sanctuary, so for us leaving a gift to Ferne seemed an obvious thing to do – an extension to the commitment we felt we’d already made. That meant on the very next occasion we got round to updating our wills, we included Ferne amongst our charitable requests, and there’s no doubt they are one of the most important charities we support”.
