£3 is the average cost of worm treatment for a small dog or cat
£5 will purchase a microchip to help animals be returned home if lost
£10 could buy specialist supplements, vital for a nursing mother and kittens
£30 provides a full veterinary health check for a dog or cat
£50 covers the cost of a dog’s first vaccinations
£100 will feed four cats for a month whilst they are waiting for their new homes
£200 provides a farrier visit for all our residents in the stables
£500 covers the monthly veterinary costs for our large farm animals
More about Ferne Animal Sanctuary
Ferne Animal Sanctuary has been caring for unwanted and abandoned domestic & farm animals for over 75 years. We provide refuge and rehabilitation for over 300 animals on our 72 acre site. We rehome dogs, cats and horses, but most animals will stay with us for the rest of their lives.
Some of the animals come to the Sanctuary because they have been neglected or are no longer wanted. Others arrive when their owners are no longer able to keep them. All these animals are given the attention and TLC they need to enjoy a happy life while they are at Ferne.
Ferne relies entirely on donations to continue its work. Your support will mean this vital work can continue.
Coco’s story
Little Coco the goat came to Ferne after she was found by a member of the public. Sadly, we believe she may be an orphan.
Coco was a little timid at first, but thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Animal Care Team, Coco was carefully hand reared and eventually weaned onto solid food. We are delighted to say that Coco is now happy in a wonderful home where she can learn what it means to be a goat!
Without our supporters, Coco might not have had anywhere to go when she lost her mother, and she may not have survived. Your donation will ensure that animals like Coco are given a second chance at life, allowing them to grow and thrive in a safe and suitable environment.
