Pick Up A Bargain & Help Ferne Animal Sanctuary!
With the cost of everything increasing, buying secondhand is great for your wallet but it is also great for the environment.
By visiting one of our fabulous charity shops you can save a lot of money and find beautiful and unique items. It is also an environmentally friendly practice and a great way to make fashion more sustainable.
The fashion industry is responsible for a huge consumption of water, energy, and natural resources, so can be very costly to the environment when no sustainable materials or renewable resources are used. Buying secondhand has a big positive social and environmental impact. It reduces carbon emissions, save resources, water, and energy and prevents old clothing from ending up in landfills.
We have four shops in Somerset (Chard, Crewkerne, Ilminster and Yeovil), and two in Devon (Honiton and Sidmouth), all of which are run by a band of fantastic staff and volunteers. Each shop has a wide variety of interesting knick knacks, books, clothes and more. 100% of the proceeds from our charity shop sales goes towards helping keep Ferne Animal Sanctuary running.
Donations are welcomed at all our charity shops – when you donate items, if you are a UK tax payer you can opt into a gift aid scheme. This costs you nothing and lets us collect 25% more whenever we sell something that you donated!
