About :
Pendleton began life as the only viable egg of 4. When he finally hatched, his guardian was surprised to discover not a chick, but a tiny duckling. His early days were far from easy. Before even leaving the nest, Pendleton suffered an injury. Weak and vulnerable, he relied on the warmth, protection and comfort of his feathered foster parents. With their care, and veterinary treatment, he slowly grew stronger and made a full recovery. Now, Pendleton has found a forever home at Ferne but still prefers the familiar company of chickens. He is a polite little guy and always avoids any potential mischief! This Mother’s Day, Pendleton’s story is a reminder that love, protection and a safe place to grow can make all the difference.
