Welcome To Ferne Animal Sanctuary

Visiting Ferne

A great day out for all the family

Ferne Animal Sanctuary is set in 72 acres of beautiful rolling Somerset countryside in the heart of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is home to an ever-changing menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, birds, chinchillas & more!

Meandering through the Sanctuary is a nature trail which visits several pretty ponds, a children’s play area and of course various fields and enclosures with our animal residents to say hello to!

We’re open seven days a week (except Christmas & New Year’s Day) so please stop by and say hello, enjoy a walk around the Sanctuary and finish off with a coffee or even a light lunch in our cafeDogs on short leads are welcome throughout the Sanctuary, including the cafe.
