Local Businesses give lifeline to rescue animals

Nov 10, 2020

A second lockdown and now winter, has made it a very tough time for our animal charity which is 90% down on our normal income with COVID closures. Winter is always an expensive time for an animal charity, and we are particularly grateful to our ongoing and our new corporate supporters, Hilton Herbs and Melhuish and Saunders who help to support us through this costly time.

Support from local businesses through our Corporate Sponsorship scheme is an invaluable source of much-appreciated revenue to help us meet our rising costs. The sponsorship we receive from our Corporate Ambassadors, (DP Associates, Rathbone Investment Management, Oscar Meyer and Petplan), our Corporate Partners, (Anthony Harris IFA; PKF Francis Clark; Coombefield Veterinary Hospital, RH Advertising; Everys solicitors and Springvale Equipment), and our many Corporate Supporters, makes all the difference.

“With the massive reduction in our income, our corporate support has been a lifeline to help us continue to look after all the animals in our care. The support from local businesses who are keen to help us continue our work as their chosen local and well-respected charity to support has been amazing” said Elaine Hayes, CEO of Ferne Animal Sanctuary. “Their support makes a huge difference to the work we can continue to do at Ferne, especially at this incredibly difficult time.”
