A lifelong lover of animals, Rona Harman first visited Ferne in 1999 seeking a home for her three tortoises that she was no longer able to look after. She was a Friend of Ferne from 2009 until her passing in 2015. Her legacy allowed us to build the original visitor centre that proudly beared her name. A true supporter of the Sanctuary, we are incredibly grateful for her generosity and pleased that her name will forever be associated with the cause that meant so much to her.
