Keeping children entertained during the school holidays can be a challenge, but our Creative Corner makes it easy to add something fun and hands-on to your day.
Throughout the summer holidays, a member of our Activities Team will lead engaging animal-themed arts and crafts sessions designed to inspire creativity and encourage compassion and a love of animals.
From making and creating to discovering more about our animal friends, there’s plenty to keep little hands and minds busy.

Calling all cat lovers!
This summer, Creative Corner is celebrating all things cats. Children can enjoy a variety of fun cat-inspired crafts, giving them the opportunity to explore a love of our feline friends.
There’s also a summer activity with a wonderful purpose – children can make a toy for our rescued cats and kittens to enjoy, creating something that can provide enrichment and fun for our cattery residents.
It’s a great way to combine creativity, learning and a little bit of kindness during your family day out.
Children will also have the opportunity to make their very own potted bee and insect hotel to take away.

During the school holidays, Creative Corner is open Tuesday – Saturday, 11:00am – 3:00pm.
Opening times / days vary out of season and during term-times so please check the latest information to avoid disappointment.

Come along to one of our Wednesday morning Rabbit Care Workshops
This fun, interactive workshop is perfect for those considering a pet rabbit, or anyone who’d like to learn more about their care. During the workshop children will discover that every rabbit has its own unique personality and story while exploring what they need to live happy, healthy lives.
- Meet one of our resident rescued rabbits and hear their story
- Learn about rabbit care, diet, behaviour and daily routines
- Build empathy and a greater understanding of their body language
- Enjoy creative, rabbit themed activities
- Make enrichment boxes that will be used by rabbits in Ferne’s care.
Our workshop is led by an experienced member of our animal care team. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or carer at all times.
